We wanted to personally welcome you on this amazing adventure through Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. We will dive into the heart of Canada and experience everything the Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Park areas has to offer from the beautiful landscape to the wildlife we will encounter. In this photography workshop we will cover all the basics and advanced techniques that Stacy William Head and Brian Doyle have learned from over 13 years of photographing around the world.  
 
Whether you have a DSLR or an iPhone we will cover the very foundation of photography including Composition, Perspective and Storytelling. We will also cover Shutter Speed, F-Stops, ISO for those guests who brought their DSLRs or Mirrorless cameras. We will also cover specific setting for each wildlife encounter and landscape shot including some advanced techniques such as focus stacking, bracketing, luminosity masking, tonal contrasting and more. We will also have an opportunity to go over editing techniques so please be sure to bring your laptop. • Daily, holistic photography-related tuition:  Learn multiple styles of photography and the mindset behind making timeless images 
• Post processing in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop:  Editing is a huge part of the photographic process. Learn workflows and master creative editing.

Itinerary 

Overview of locations and shoots 
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE/TRANSPORTATION: Participants should arrive before 9am On Sept. 29th and depart after 12pm on Oct. 5th ***Please do not register for a workshop unless you are able to stay for the entire period as an early departure seriously disrupts the spirit and fellowship of the workshop. *** 
Canmore – Stoneridge Mountain Resort by clique Day 1 – Sept 29th, 2019: Welcome and getting settled in 
Welcome: We will meet in Canmore Stoneridge Mountain Resort at 11am. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the workshop.  
Afternoon (Lunch – ________): We will then drive to Canmore to eat lunch and will review the up-to-date schedule and go over questions about the workshop. After lunch our group will head out to work on color/black and white photography techniques while capturing Three sisters mountains. 
Evening (Dinner - ________): Possibly cover sunset Kananaskis area. Afterwards, check into hotel and head downtown to grab food, snacks, water, trail mix, bear-spray for anyone that may need it. We can go as a group or if you would like time on your own you are welcome to do so alone. 
Banff - Banff INN Day 2 - Sept 30th, 2019: Getting adjusted to Canada (Pack lunch, Tripod) 
Morning (Breakfast - _____): Drive to our first destination Two Jack lakes and Lake Minnewanka at ____am to photograph the lake reflections as the sun rises.   
Afternoon (Lunch – Sandwich): Head out the road to Johnson canyon to showcase and go over details of scale and use of space in photography. Go over camera gear and questions. We will cover example of using different setting for each shot. 
 
Evening (Dinner - ________): Work on achieving a slow shutter speed while at Vermillion Lakes. Stacy with showcase what types of equipment you can use to achieve the best look and effect during the sunset. 
 
Day 3 – Oct. 1st, 2019: Longer hiking day (Pack lunch, Tripod for sunset) 
Morning (Breakfast – Hotel): Quick drive and hop out to capture Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Looking to achieve a reflection shot while photographing a model/other guests for scale.  
Afternoon (Lunch – _________): We will head to a special location called Lake Agnes and work on long exposures. This will be a 45-minute moderate hike approximately each way.
Evening (Dinner - ________): It will take us about an hour to reach our next destination Peyto Lake/Bow Lake area. During the drive we will be available to answer camera set up questions and chat about photographing wildlife and which settings are best for each animal.  
Jasper - Accommodations?? Day 4 – Oct. 2nd, 2019: Drive up north to Jasper (pack lunch, tripod) 
Morning (Breakfast – Hotel): After an early rise, we will drive north to Icefields Parkway in Jasper. During our drive we can stop to take photos of the countless mountain scenes. 
Afternoon (Lunch – _________): We will them make out way to Athabasca Glacier and Skywalk Sunwapta Falls to use ND filters to obtain a slow shutter speed and another model/guest to showcase scale.   
Evening (Dinner - ________): During the sunset, we will photography the sky at Athabasca Falls and take the opportunity to capture a night shot if possible.  
 
Day 5 - Oct. 3rd, 2019: Wildlife photography 101 (pack lunch, tripod) 
Morning (Breakfast – Hotel): head to a wolf hideout at gold course and check out some dalls sheep on the top of the hiking spot 
Afternoon (Lunch – _________): check out some elk in the town and capture some of the foliage by pyramid lake with the board walk 

Evening (Dinner - ________):  
 
Day 6 - Oct. 4th, 2019: Drive back south the Canmore (pack lunch, tripod) 
Morning (Breakfast – Hotel): Sunrise at Pyrimid Lake to capture the reflections and beautiful sunrise across the lake. Focus on using leading lines. 
Afternoon (Lunch – _________): Drive down south to Yoho National Park to capture wildlife and the last glimpse of Canada. 
Evening (Dinner - ________): Arrive at hotel and provide post production classes . After editing 2-5 shots we will provide feedback/critique for guests 
Canmore – Stoneridge Mountain resort by clique Day 7 – Oct. 5th, 2019: Final day, wrap up with questions and goodbyes.
